For those who actually know me in person have heard of my trips to Australia and how much love that country. And some of those people were little confused when I begin to profess my love for Japan. However, I still love Australia and one thing I really love is Australian musicians. Almost every band I have heard from Australia as been great. I still think John Butler Trio’s Sunrise Over Sea is one of the greatest albums in the last decade, and is a shame that he only got a little press in America, figures. Then there is Eskimo Joe from Perth, I keep thinking, at least with their early stuff, that this is Australia’s version of Keane. And I can not forget The Presets, but I will leave it up to people to listen to them first and them make up their mind. So that is what I have three “bands” that I love from Australia.
Oh, but wait I forgot.
In 2010, the Cassette Kids will be releasing their new album and so far I am in love. Their first single “Laying Around” is really catchy and I can’t help but it it on repeat on youtube. (link: http://tinyurl.com/ya6w6r2). However I have to wait till 2010 to make a decision. But I like what I have seen so far.
the second picture that inspires me. Just like Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones is a man. And his look is priceless. Also it includes one of my favorite types of coffee, the ice cold can of rainbow coffee by BOSS coffee in Japan. That can was a wonderful thing to see in the morning. Hopefully, when KKR moves to Japan she will fall in love with Mr.Jones as much as I did.
This photo of the late Toshiro Mifune amazes me. For one he is my favorite actor, he was the James Dean of Japan. And this photo sums the man up perfectly. And it inspires me. I will be posting random pictures of things that inspire me. Why? because I think if these pictures inspire me then they will inspire you too.
I love zombies. I love everything about zombies. Its a horrible addiction, but its better then heroin! And this track is perfect for October.
