I was just helping my friend Chelle finish up same name cards for tomorrow’s bible camp. My roommate and her are volunteering at her local Catholic church for it. I asked if I could help. They looked at me and said “No, your a Buddhist”. Well yes that is true. Been Buddhist for 7 years and now a Zen Practioner for two. But I said that I don’t have to teach/lead the kids but could do behind the scenes work or just something if they need help. They then told me the church would not allow it, which I was kinda shocked by. Wouldn’t it be nice to have other religons present,teach the kids different things and how as a christians they should be open minded and accepting of other faiths. Which of course they don’t want too it seems. Which makes my liberal socialist mind to call out that they are just brainwashing them. They then called me closed minded but I thought I was unaware. Anyway this post does not really make sense. But it started off as a Twitter post but as you can see it’s longer then 140 characters
